Jackson Walker Fallout Spurs Another Suit
Jackson Walker is facing more legal troubles tied to a former partner’s relationship with ex-Houston bankruptcy judge David R. Jones, James Nani reports.
Thirteen Sorrento Therapeutics shareholders accuse the company’s advisers of filing in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas to access an “ethically compromised” court. Jones oversaw the Sorrento case, and former Jackson Walker partner Elizabeth Freeman briefly consulted with company counsel before the filing.
