Don’t Miss This Crucial Tariff Refund Step
Customs and Border Protection says it’s nearly done creating the automated process to issue $166 billion in tariff refunds—but that many eligible companies are missing a key step that’ll ensure they receive their money, Erik Larson reports.
In a Tuesday filing, the agency said the companies must request their refunds through the new online portal, but they also have to opt in to an existing system enabling electronic payments to avoid rejection.
