Coercion Alleged in Harris County Judge Primary: Texas Brief

A blurry picture. A screenshot of a docket. And then, a (lengthy) message with instructions: “I look forward to hearing that you have forwarded a letter to Mike Doyle stating that you are removing your name from the March 3, 2026 ballot by tomorrow at noon.”

That, an email, and social media posts, was enough to get Kim McTorry temporarily removed Tuesday from the Democratic Party’s primary ballot to be judge in Harris County.
