Cheniere Begins Maintenance on Corpus Christi LNG Export Plant

Cheniere has begun planned maintenance on the Corpus Christi liquefied natural gas export terminal on Texas’ Gulf Coast, a company spokesperson confirmed.

  • Gas flows to Corpus Christi LNG fell to about 2.3 billion cubic feet per day starting on May 2 from about 3.2 Bcf/d on April 30: BloombergNEF data
    • Lower feedgas at LNG facilities can weigh on US gas prices by increasing supply in the domestic market
    • Total US feedgas to LNG terminals fell to 17.8 Bcf/d on Friday from 19.6 Bcf/d two weeks earlier
