Big Law Preps for Big Tariff Ruling

In the run-up to the US Supreme Court’s decision on the legality of Donald Trump’s tariffs policy — which could come as early as today — lawyers have been inundated with ‘what-if’ questions from their clients.

The anxiety over the ruling is understandable, especially in Texas. The state saw exports surge by nearly two-thirds, to $455 billion, from 2020 to 2024, and imports by about 60%, to $398 billion, during that time.
