Oprah Winfrey is seeking to protect the trademark rights of her famous brand and iconic “O” logo by shutting down an academic podcast incorporating her name in its nomenclature.
Harpo Inc., founded by Winfrey, sued two professors, Kellie Carter Jackson of Wellesley College and Leah Wright Rigueur of Johns Hopkins University, over the use of Winfrey’s first name in the title of their podcast Oprahdemics.
