Windstream has launched its own streaming entertainment service under the brand name Merge, but its customers may find that getting Web-based video over a DSL connection may not be worth the cost.
The Little Rock, Ark.-based telephone company has combined its high-speed Internet service with a Roku set-top box to create the new offering. Merge is offered in three monthly pricing tiers— $62.99, $64.99, and $67.99—that are based on the maximum data rates on the buyer’s Internet plan.
