Verizon Communications is raising rental fees for FiOS TV digital video recorders and set-top boxes, with the hikes becoming effective over the next two months.
Verizon will raise DVR fees by a monthly $1, to $16.99/mo., effective May 6. This applies to all FiOS TV customers, including those currently paying the $12.99/mo. promotional rate. And beginning April 23, STB rates will jump 17 percent, to $6.99 per month, for customers in New York City, northern New Jersey and Connecticut.
The FiOS TV multiroom DVR rate will remain at a monthly $19.99 per month.
