Vendor Data Breach Notification Worries Companies

Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP took the rare step March 30 of publicly acknowledging its computers were breached in the summer of 2015 17 CLASS, 4/8/16, 31 CCW 109, 4/6/16, 63 Privacy Law Watch, 4/1/16, 15 PVLR 722, 4/4/16, 63 CARE, 4/1/16, See previous story, 04/01/16 .

As might be expected, the firm declined to discuss how or whether it notified clients about the incident. If clients only learned about the breach through press reports, it shouldn’t be that surprising.
