USAA Debt Collection Calls Violate Robocall Law, Suit Alleges (1)

USAA Federal Savings Bank is accused in a federal lawsuit of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act after a string of debt collection calls to a customer.

Virginia resident Aubrey Hammond said she fell behind on her credit card payments after hours at her old job were cut. USAA allegedly called her at least 130 times between June and July to collect the money she owed, Hammond alleges in her lawsuit filed Sept. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
