US lawmakers flummoxed by the Pentagon’s negotiating tactics with Anthropic PBC are warning that carrying out those threats would have significant consequences for the military ecosystem.
The Pentagon and Anthropic are at odds over the company’s resistance to dropping guardrails on its powerful AI tool, Claude, which the Pentagon runs in classified settings.
