US Cyber Alert Showed Trump Values Allies, Ex-NSA Chief Says

President-elect Donald Trump has shown he values security ties with allies, a recent head of US Cyber Command said, recalling how he was dispatched by Trump to Japan in 2020 to alert Tokyo to a major cyber security breach by China.

Paul Nakasone, who was also the director of the National Security Agency until February, on Thursday confirmed the outline of a Washington Post report last year that said he was sent to Tokyo after the US detected that Chinese military hackers had gained access to Japanese government computer networks.
