University Bringing Gigabit Connections to Cleveland Neighbors - For Free

Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio on Tuesday announced that it will move forward on the Case Connection Zone, a project to deploy fiber to “several thousand” nearby residents over the next couple of years.

The project, as planned, will deliver a free gigabit per second connection to residents of neighborhoods around the university, starting in May with 104 households in the Hessler Road neighborhood near CWRU’s main campus.
