Twitter, TikTok Pressured on Anti-Disinformation Efforts (2)

Twitter Inc. and TikTok executives are being pressured by lawmakers to track the progress they make in combating the spread of Spanish-language disinformation on their platforms.

Democrats are sounding the alarm on disinformation they warn is eroding trust in the country’s electoral system and stoking violence. Spanish-language disinformation has received special attention as analysts note it tends to stay on platforms longer and goes unchecked more often than false English content.
