TSA Starts Drone-Tracking Test at LA Airport Amid Growing Threat

The Transportation Security Administration wants to track drones better as they are increasingly seen around airports.

The TSA began testing technology to detect, track, and identify unmanned aircraft systems entering restricted airspace around Los Angeles International Airport, officials announced at an event Thursday as they warned of the elevated risk around drones spotted too close to planes. The major California airport is the second in the US to join the TSA’s test program after Miami International Airport.
