Trump Meets With Nvidia’s Huang as Semiconductor Tariffs Near

US President Donald Trump met Wednesday with Nvidia Corp. Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang at the White House, as he readies sweeping new tariffs on semiconductor imports.

Huang’s visit came hours before another tech leader — Apple Inc. CEO Tim Cook — was set to announce a commitment for $100 billion in fresh domestic manufacturing investments. Both executives have lobbied Trump to exempt their products from the looming import taxes, which the US president has said he plans to unveil as soon as next week.
