Tech Experts Increasing Pressure for U.K. AI Code of Ethics

Computer scientists may struggle to remove bias from the algorithms they create, but the message from a U.K. government body looking into ethics and artificial intelligence is clear—try harder.

Kriti Sharma, a board member for the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation and founder of AI for Good, said completely removing bias from algorithms is “an ambitious target” but, now that consumers are demanding more transparency, she “feels optimistic about it.”
