Taiwan Sees No Major Impact on Chips From China’s Export Curbs

Taiwan expects no significant impact on its chip manufacturing processes from China’s recently expanded rare-earth export controls, according to a statement from the Ministry of Economic Affairs on Sunday.

  • Says the restricted elements are different from those required for Taiwan’s chip processes
    • Materials required by the domestic semiconductor industry are mainly supplied by Europe, US and Japan
