T-Mobile Wants Online Wiretapping Case Handled in Federal Court

T-Mobile USA Inc. removed a proposed privacy class action from state court to federal court, arguing the Southern District of Florida is the proper venue under the Class Action Fairness Act.

The case should be dealt with there because the proposed classes contain at least 100 members and the amount in controversy exceeds $5 million, T-Mobile argued in a notice of removal filed March 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
