T-Mobile and Sprint are nudging smaller carriers to help sell their merger to federal regulators.

The two carriers have reached out to some prepaid carriers—known as mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs)—to get them to contact regulators and publicly back the $26.5 billion merger, Jon Reid reports. The merger’s impact on the MVNO market is one of the main areas of review for the FCC and the Justice Department.
