COPENHAGEN—The owner of a website that provides independent reviews of private companies is ultimately responsible for comments uploaded by users, Sweden’s data protection authority ruled Jan. 12.
Under the Data Inspection Board (Datainspektionen, or DI) ruling, the website owners, Wiky Ventures AB, must implement new measures to prevent the publication of sensitive data in comments posted by users.
