A Singapore-based social media marketing company was fined SG$18,000 ($13,373) Nov. 27 by the country’s privacy office for leaving personal data exposed online.
Social Metric Pte. created webpages containing personal data of its clients’ customers but failed to remove the pages after its marketing campaigns were over, the Singapore Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) said in the decision (In the matter of Social Metric Pte., No. DP-160-A712; DP-1604-A713, 11/27/17).
