Feb. 2, 2022, 12:35 AM UTC

Senate Commerce Committee says it won’t hold vote Wednesday on Gigi Sohn, Democratic nominee for seat at Federal Communications Commission, as panel adjusts to absence of a Democratic senator who is ill.

  • Alvaro Bedoya, nominated to be a commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, also won’t get Wednesday vote, according to revised agenda released late Tuesday
  • NOTE: Democratic Sen. Ben Ray Lujan, of New Mexico, is recovering from stroke; names dropped from Wednesday agenda required votes of all Democratic members to succeed
