Sen. Blackburn Says Pipe Operators Concerned About Cyber Rules

Some of the cybersecurity requirements recently levied by the Transportation Security Administration on pipeline operators seem to be “very difficult” and maybe not feasible to implement, Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn said in an interview.

• “Companies might have to upgrade thousands of pieces of equipment that they can’t even get due to supply chain shortages,” Blackburn said
• “It would be helpful if TSA would seek to deal more closely with the private sector and make security measures doable and attainable”
