Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) and Sony Network Entertainment International LLC (SNEI) won dismissal of class claims based on their alleged retention and disclosure of consumers’ personally identifiable information in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act, a federal district court ruled April 20 (Rodriguez v. Sony Computer Entm’t America LLC, N.D. Cal., No. 4:11-cv-04084-PJH).
