Private Equity Firms Appear to Settle Suit Over ClearObject Sale

Plymouth Management Co. and Bootstrap Venture Partners affiliates have reached an apparent settlement of fraud claims in Delaware over the sale of ClearObject Holdings Corp. to investment funds run by Egis Capital Partners and ABS Capital Partners.

The dueling private equity groups filed a joint stipulation in Delaware Chancery Court indicating that Egis and ABS have withdrawn their allegations. The filing doesn’t expressly state that there’s a deal, and attorneys for both sides didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday.

But the dismissal was with prejudice, meaning Egis and ABS voluntarily gave up the right to refile the lawsuit, ...
