Pornhub Bid to Move Alabama Trafficking Case to California Fails

The conglomerate behind Pornhub and other adult entertainment sites failed to transfer a sex trafficking class action from an Alabama to California federal court, where a similar trafficking case against the company is set for trial this summer.

US District Judge L. Scott Coogler denied MindGeek’s motion to move the case after the company argued the suits should be consolidated to avoid duplicating work for attorneys while preventing confusion over how potential class members can join the cases. Coogler found that MindGeek has already been duplicating efforts in the cases, and never objected to inconsistent rulings.
