Sam Altman, a co-founder and the CEO of OpenAI, will be on Capitol Hill and at the White House on Wednesday for meetings, a source familiar with his plans confirmed.
His meetings will include a bipartisan set of members of Congress in both chambers, including leadership and members on committees that handle artificial intelligence matters, the source said.
Altman’s appointments in Washington come one day after President Donald Trump signed an executive order with a light-touch regulatory approach that the industry is rallying around.
