OpenAI said developers can submit apps for review and publication in ChatGPT

• Can use Apps SDK to build chat-native experiences
• The first set of approved apps will gradually roll out in the new year
• Initially, developers can link out from the ChatGPT app to websites or native apps for transactions of physical goods
  • Company is exploring additional monetization options
• “Apps must comply with OpenAI’s usage policies, be appropriate for all audiences, and adhere to third-party terms of service when accessing their content”
• Also introducing an app directory inside ChatGPT
