OpenAI CEO Will Testify Before Senate Panel on AI Regulation

OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman will testify before the US Congress for the first time next week, speaking to the Senate subcommittee responsible for regulating developments in artificial intelligence that could disrupt industries across the economy.

The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law will hear from Altman, as well as IBM Corp.’s chief privacy and trust officer, Christina Montgomery, on May 16, according to a statement from the panel.
