StubHub Inc. and other online ticket resale sites would have to ensure their users know they are buying resold tickets and clarify their refund policy under a New York state proposal.
The New York Legislature June 20 passed a bill (S. 8501B) requiring online ticket sellers to post a “clear and conspicuous” notice on their websites that they are secondary market sellers whose prices may be higher than face value. The bills would ban websites from completing transactions unless buyers confirm reading the notice.
