Neuralink to Launch Brain Implant Clinical Trial in Abu Dhabi

Neuralink Corp., the Elon Musk-led brain chip company, said it plans to launch its first clinical trial in the Middle East.

The company will study “how individuals with motor and speech impairment can use thought to control devices & communicate,” it said in a social media post.

The trial will be done in partnership with the Department of Health Abu Dhabi, at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, it said. Neuralink has said it’s implanted the device in three people thus far and is looking for patients all over the world to expand further.
