Mistral Raises $830 Million to House Nvidia Chips in Data Center

Mistral AI, a French startup trying to build a European alternative to OpenAI, has secured its first debt financing of $830 million for a data center project outside of Paris, becoming the latest technology company tapping credit markets for an unprecedented buildout of artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The financing will be used for as many as 13,800 chips from Nvidia Corp. for the facility in Bruyères-le-Châtel, Mistral said in a statement on Monday.
