Microsoft Signs on as First User of ‘Standard’ Legal Language

Microsoft Corp. is the first official user of a new language to describe legal work that enthusiasts of the standards initiative say could lead to better data-tracking for law firms and legal departments.

Data-Driven: “We are more and more asked to think about how we enable our teams to make data-driven decisions about how they engage with outside counsel and how they do their work,” said Rebecca Benavides, director of legal business at Microsoft.
