Meta Platforms Can Proceed With Deceptive Ad Practices Lawsuit

Meta Platforms Inc. can move forward with claims that three companies used fraudulent financial documents to obtain more than $8 million in advertising credit they never paid for from the social media giant.

Meta adequately alleges fraud and breach of contract claims against each defendant, said Magistrate Judge Thomas S. Hixson of the US District Court for the Northern District of California in a Tuesday order, denying the defendants’ motion to dismiss.
