Meta Must Turn Over Info on Covid Misinformation Enforcement

Meta Platforms Inc. must comply with a subpoena from the attorney general for the District of Columbia seeking documents relating to Facebook’s enforcement of its Covid-19 vaccine misinformation policies, the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled.

The federal Stored Communications Act and the First Amendment don’t bar the District’s valid subpoena for information identifying public Facebook groups, pages, and accounts that violated the misinformation policies, the court said Thursday.
