Massachusetts Releases Daily Fantasy Sports Rules

Daily fantasy sports operators will be required to follow an array of consumer protection rules in order to continue operating in Massachusetts, under final regulations filed March 25 by the state’s attorney general.

The rules include a ban on players under 21 years of age, some required financial safeguards and other restrictions.

Unlike other states that have moved toward banning or severely limiting fantasy sports operations, the Massachusetts regulations embody a less onerous approach.
