Manufacturer Ends Lithium-Ion Battery Cell Tech Patent Dispute

Manufacturer Ningde Amperex Technology Ltd. dropped patent infringement allegations against competitor Zhuhai CosMX Battery Co. over lithium-ion battery cells.

CosMX hasn’t answered the complaint or moved for summary judgment, Judge Rodney Gilstrap said, dismissing the dispute without prejudice, in an order entered Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. ATL and CosMx have litigation history, with disputes in Texas federal court and the US Patent and Trademark Office.
