Lithuanian Ministry Reports Increased Attempts of Cyber Attacks

Lithuania is facing an increased number of distributed denial-of-service attacks this week that target state institutions, as well as the communications and finance sectors, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

• The ministry called on state companies and institutions to take additional measures to prevent attacks
• NOTE: The increase in cyber attacks comes after Lithuania started implementing the EU sanctions that prevent transit of steal and iron to Kaliningrad on June 17
