LinkedIn Advertisers Lose Class Suit Alleging Inflated Ad Views

LinkedIn Corp. defeated a proposed class action by advertisers who alleged they were overcharged because the online networking giant overstated the level of actual user engagement with its ads.

TopDevz LLC and Noirefly Inc. claimed LinkedIn falsely promised advertisers that they would only pay when someone clicks their ad and didn’t account for fraudulent activity. The suits were consolidated, and LinkedIn moved in August to dismiss the second amended complaint.
