The Italian Competition Authority, acting in close cooperation with the competent offices of the European Commission, started an investigation against Meta Platforms Inc., Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, WhatsApp Ireland Limited, and Facebook Italy S.r.l. for alleged abuse of dominant position, according to a emailed statement.
