Intuit Denied Request to See Samesurf’s Litigation Funding Deals

Intuit Inc. lost its bid to compel Samesurf Inc. to produce litigation funding agreements as part of Samesurf’s patent infringement suit against the company.

Samesurf, a software firm that holds the patent rights to a co-browsing technology, alleges that Intuit is infringing on Samesurf’s US Patent No. 9,483,448 in its TurboTax and QuickBooks products. Intuit sought to compel Samesurf to disclose parties with a financial interest or backing in the litigation.
