HILL TECH & CYBER BRIEF: Senate Probes AI Effect on Human Rights

Artificial intelligence is back in the crosshairs Tuesday when the Senate Judiciary Human Rights Subcommittee holds a hearing on the implications of AI on human rights.

Subcommittee Chair Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) released a preview video featuring an AI-generated voice impression of himself asking crucial questions like “what does AI mean for freedom, safety, opportunity? What are the existential risks? The implications for daily life? How must our laws adapt?”
