Guinea’s Access to Social Media Restricted Again, Group Says

Internet access to social media platforms in Guinea has been restricted since last week, according to a consumer group.

The disruption observed since Nov. 24 is the second in six months, Cellou Barry, a spokesman for the Coalition of Consumer Associations in Guinea, said in an interview. It blocks access to Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok and X to users without virtual private network software, he said.
