Google may be trying to stay a step ahead of lawmakers’ plans to write data protection legislation.
The search giant has laid out its recommendations on a company blog, including that any new legislation should allow consumers to access and delete personal information given to marketers. The post, written by Google’s Chief Privacy Officer, Keith Enright, says Google supports “comprehensive” privacy regulation.
