Google to Pay $7 Million in False Ad Clicks Class Action

Alphabet Inc.'s Google signed a $7 million class settlement with advertisers that used the company’s AdWords platform, resolving claims that it failed to issue full refunds for invalid ad traffic, according to a federal court filing in California.

Advertisers must file a claim to receive their share of the deal, which will be calculated in proportion to each one’s advertising spend during the relevant time period, according to the filing.
