Google Sued by The Nation, Other Publishers Alleging Ad Monopoly

Google’s antitrust troubles continued to mount, just hours after it was sued by Texas and nine other states, when a group of publishers joined the list of private and government plaintiffs accusing the tech giant of illegally cornering the digital advertising market, in which it allegedly made nearly $135 billion last year.

Publishers of The Nation and The Progressive magazines teamed up with Genius, a digital media company, to file a proposed class action late Wednesday against Google, YouTube, and their parent company, Alphabet Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
