Google Fiber Gets VOD Feeds From Avail-TVN

Media-services provider Avail-TVN will feed thousands of on-demand titles into Google’s IPTV service launching this fall in Kansas City.

Google Fiber TV subscribers will have access to VOD titles across various devices, the Internet search giant says.

Google is offering 1 Gbps symmetrical Internet service and advanced multichannel video over a fiber-to-the-home network in parts of Kansas City, Mo., and Kansas City, Kan. The Google Fiber Internet service costs $70 per month with a one-year contract, and an Internet/TV bundle will run $120/mo. with a two-year contract.
