GoDaddy Owes $83 Million Interest on $170 Million Patent Verdict

A GoDaddy Inc. unit must pay more than $253 million for infringing two patents related to website-building technology after a federal judge awarded Express Mobile Inc. prejudgment interest of $83.2 million on a $170 million verdict.

Judge Matthew F. Kennelly awarded Express Mobile prejudgment interest of $83,150,526 in a judgment issued May 22 in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, bringing the total to $253,150,526. That doesn’t account for the post-judgment interest GoDaddy.com LLC also must pay Express Mobile.
