Germany’s competition authority fined Studio Berlin Adlershof GmbH, a Studio Berlin subsidiary and Bavaria Studios & Production Services GmbH 3.1 million euros ($3,404,885) for a cartel that exchanged commercially sensitive information.
The Bundeskartellamt said July 27 it discovered the illegal information exchange between studios for TV and film production when MMC Studios Koln GmbH turned in the cartel to regulators. MMC escaped a fine as a successful leniency applicant.
